PRICKED X NH

microblading women eyebrows

Pricked came to fruition as our original baby began to grow and thrive. We have always had a cosmetic side to NH from day one we have offered lash extension services as well as microblading and brow services. As the demand for these grew, we quickly realized that we had outgrown our little glass box (literally we have a 10x12 glass cosmetics room in the middle for the salon)! We are big believers in timing and letting things unfold organically, so in July 2021 after the wildest year.... that which we shall not mention... Pricked x NH was born.

Pricked is a 550 sqft fun boutique space where you get to come for all of your specialty enhancements! Lashes/ Nails/ Piercings and of course all the cosmetic tattooing. We specialize in Brows, Lips, and Freckles and are very excited that we will be adding RX or Paramedical Tattooing as well as Scalp Pigmentation to the roster of life-changing services. Pricked will carry a similar vibe to NH adding its own bright flare to the NH Family.

AFTERCARE

+ Lash Extensions

-Don't wet your lashes for up to 24 hours after your procedure (this includes saunas). This will give the adhesive the appropriate amount of time to set and increase the longevity of your lashes.

-Do not use oil based makeup removers or waterproof mascara as it will weaken the adhesive of your lashes, causing the extension to fall off.

-Avoid eyelash curlers as they will pull out your extensions.

-Try to avoid coming into direct contact with heat. Stay a safe distance from camp fires, ovens or BBQs as the heat will singe your lashes and compromise the strength of the adhesive.

-Refrain from rubbing your eyes as this will cause your extensions to fall off.

Remember: When you wash your lashes, they will last longer. Cleansing them daily will remove oils and buildup. If you touch and pull on you lashes, they will fall out. Read that again. Give them a gentle brush daily!

+ Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?

No, cosmetic tattooing procedures do not hurt. We use topical anesthetics that are highly effective which significantly reduce any discomfort you may have. Clients have reported a tickling / scratching sensations with little to nodiscomfort during or after procedure.

+ Is it safe if I am pregnant?

Cosmetic Tattoo: Although these are safe, non-invasive procedures, we err on the side of caution and do not perform this service on anyone who is pregnant or nursing.

**Lashes: As there are potential risks, we leave the decision up to you. You may have sensitivity to the glue & laying down on your back may be a discomfort. We highly recommend a consultation with our lash technician prior to booking to go over any questions and potential risks.

+ How long will my PMU last?

This will vary for each client, depending on their skin, pigment, personal care routine and sun exposure. Gradual fading is expected, we recommend periodic touchups to maintain your desired look.

+ Can I still wear makeup after microblading?

We recommend waiting 2 weeks before you apply any makeup in the area. Keeping the skin clean and dry is very important in the healing process to prevent infection and pigment loss.

+ How to prepare for my appointment?

Lash Extensions:

-An hour prior to you appointment, please make sure you are not consuming any energy drinks or coffee as this makes your eyes flutter during you appointment.

-Please show up to your appointment with clean lashes, without any eye makeup on.

Microblading:

-Do not consume caffeine, energy drinks, blood thinners, or alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment, as this will cause bleeding and may alter your results.

-It is recommended that you do not have direct sun exposure to your brows 3 weeks prior to your appointment. Wear hats & sunscreen if needed.

-You may come in with your original brow makeup on so we can see how you like them. Savanah can also customize your brows to a desired shape.

-Please note that your microblading procedure will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

Lip Brushing:

-Do not cosume caffeine, energy drinks, blood thinners or alcohol 48 hours prior to your appoimtment as this will cause bleeding and may alter your results.

-No botox/fillers in the area the week prior to your appointment.

-Avoid sun/tanning/UV rays 3 weeks before + after your appointment.

-Have a favourite lip shade? Bring it with you to show our Lip Blushing tech.

-Do not comsume caffine and hour prior to your appointment.

Underarm Waxing:

-Make sure your hair is around 1/4 inch long before your appointment (about the length of a grain of rice). This length typically takes 2-3 weeks of growth.

-Lightly exfoliate the area with a buffing mitt or gentle scrub to avoid ingrown hairs.

-Avoid tanning or swimming 24 hours prior to your appointment.

-Avoid alcohol/caffeine the day of your appointment, they cause your pores to tighten, making waxing more painful.

-Skip the deodorant to avoid clogging your pores (we don't mind).

+ Consulations

Not required: Microblading, Powder brows, Hybrid brows , Lip blushing, Freckles.

Required: Scar Camouflage procedures, Stretch mark Camo, Breast Augmentation Scar Camo, Areola reconstruction and SMP (Scalp Pigmentation). A consultation is to insure that you are an appropriate candidate as well as to assess the healed scar to confirm if it is safe to proceed with camouflage.

Please note Scars must have one full year to heal in order for them to be safely worked on via tattoo. This is very important as more damage than good may result.

+ Do lash extentsions cause damage to natural lashes?

Eye lash extensions will not compromise your natural lashes if applied correctly and taken care of properly.

+ Does Lash Lift + Tint damage natural lashes?

Quite the opposite, actually! The Keratin Lash Lift treatment guarantees healthy lashes, making them stronger and healing any damaged lashes.

+ What do you use to pierce?

We use a system called INVERNESS, it's a hand pressured instrument that uses sterile, pre-sealed, hypoallergenic piercing jewelry.

+ Do piercings hurt?

Most clients report they feel little to no discomfort. Unlike a piercing gun, our system does not remove a piece of your skin, which allows for fast and safe healing.

+ Can my baby get their ears pierced?

Yes, as long as your baby has had their first set of shots (usually administered at 8 weeks) we are abe to pierce their ears. As this is a personal decision, we recommend having a heart-to-heart with your baby prior to your appointment. Just kidding. But if you have any concerns, please discuss with your pediatrician before booking.
